Premium die-casting aluminum chassis provides structural backbone and passive thermal management — drawing heat away from the LED array and battery compartment. The UV-stabilized PC diffuser is treated with advanced UV absorbers and stabilizers to prevent yellowing, hazing, and embrittlement over years of direct sun exposure — maintaining optical clarity and impact resistance far beyond untreated polycarbonate. GGD002-1 (Square L, 400mm, 20W/80LED): use on secondary pathways, courtyard clusters, and transitional zones — same light output as GGD001 but square geometry for areas with rectilinear architecture. GGD002-2 (Square S, 320mm, 12W/64LED): place on intimate garden paths, bench alcoves, and narrow residential walkways — scaled-down output appropriate for closer-proximity pedestrian viewing. Standard untreated polycarbonate yellows, hazes, and becomes brittle after 2-3 years of direct tropical/subtropical sun exposure — degrading both light transmission and impact resistance. UV-stabilized PC is formulated with advanced UV absorbers and hindered-amine light stabilizers (HALS) that intercept UV photons before they break polymer chains, dramatically extending optical clarity and mechanical integrity. Compared to glass: PC is significantly lighter (reducing post load), inherently impact-resistant (no shatter risk), and can be molded into complex diffuser geometries for optimized light distribution. The GGD002-2 is proportionally engineered, not underpowered. At 320x320xH320mm — 33% smaller in footprint than GGD002-1 — it serves a different lighting role: intimate pedestrian-scale illumination at closer viewing distances (1.5-3m post height vs 3-4m for the larger models). The 12W panel charges the 12,000mAh battery in the same 3-5 hour window; the 64 LED array delivers proportionally scaled output that avoids over-lighting narrow garden paths. Runtime is equivalent — 8-10 hours dusk-to-dawn. Selecting the GGD002-2 for its intended application (narrow paths, alcoves, residential compounds) is correct system design, not a compromise.
